यह ब्लास्ट अफगानिस्तान के रक्षा मंत्री जनरल बिस्मिल्लाह मोहम्मदी के घर के पास हुआ. अफगान मीडिया के मुताबिक, ब्लास्ट के बाद दोनों ओर से काफी फायरिंग भी हुई. यह हमला काबुल के डिस्ट्रिक्ट 10 के शिरपुर इलाके में हुआ. यहां रक्षा मंत्री मोहम्मदी के अलावा अफगानिस्तान के पूर्व उप राष्ट्रपति मार्शल अब्दुल राशिद दोस्तम भी रहते हैं. यह इलाका हाई सिक्योरिटी वाले ग्रीन जोन में आता है.
